In his current role, Ikdeep Singh is Brand President at L’Oréal, in-charge of it’s most iconic luxury brand – Giorgio Armani. In this role, Ikdeep is responsible for accelerating the business growth in the North America market. Prior to this role, Ikdeep led iconic brands like L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, essie & NYX cosmetics – across North America. Before joining L’Oréal, Ikdeep spent 14 years at Procter and Gamble, building some of the world’s most beloved and admired brands, across the world – including China.

Hughes began his career as a professional sports personality at an Ottawa Senators NHL hockey game on January 8th, 1994. Yves Boudreau is the CEO and Co-founder of Alongside, a Moncton-based hiring software which is revolutionizing the way companies hire. Yves has a long history with entrepreneurship, when he was 19, he started his first business, a digital creative agency, which he ran successfully for five years. During that time the company won many awards and produced work for clients ranging from Grammy Award winning artists to large financial corporations. Continuing with his passion for entrepreneurship, Yves co-founded Alongside in 2014, which has gone on to be the first-ever Atlantic Canadian company accepted into 500 Startups in San Francisco, raised over $2.3 in investments, and built a team of 13 amazing individuals who are focused on Alongside’s mission to humanize the online hiring experience by improving the way jobseekers and employers discover each other.
Alex creates systems of transformational experiences for individuals and organizations to meaningfully connect and cultivate their full potential. He researches and facilitates relationships and conversation-driven approaches to creative problem solving and entrepreneurship. In his work with young entrepreneurs at the University of Virginia (UVA), he worked closely with students to launch and continue their entrepreneurial projects into sustainable technology-focused solutions that tackle the greatest challenges facing humanity. His unique approach to entrepreneurship education at UVA has yielded a 4-fold increase in founders continuing after graduation and has propelled UVA to the national stage with multiple wins in the Collegiate Inventors Competition and the ACC InVenture Prize.
Hannah Graham comes from an agency background which she traded in for the SaaS industry almost two years ago and hasn’t looked back. Since joining Dash Hudson, Hannah has been lucky enough to work with some of the worlds largest brands such as L’oreal, Procter & Gamble, LVMH, Amazon, Estee Lauder and NBC Universal. Hannah is passionate about helping clients create loyal followings and discover a social strategy that works. Most recently, Hannah has taken on the role of Corporate Strategy Manager, helping large enterprise companies determine their social direction at a company wide level. Currently, Hannah resides in Halifax, NS.
Lainie Smith has an eclectic background including work with big-box retailers, national sport organizations and non-profits but landed in the SaaS start-up world and has become addicted to the fast-paced, ever growing environment. Since joining Dash Hudson, Lainie has worked with world class customers in the capacity of a Customer Success Manager and now as Dash Hudson’s Product Manager. She loves working with some of the biggest brands in the world as well as the entire Dash Hudson team to innovate and create products people care about.
Shaowei Xu is a second year MBA student in the Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University. In addition to his studies, Shaowei is actively involved in the global business community. He has business interests within the manufacturing sector in Japan, works with a shipping and trading company in China and is a partner in a consulting practice here in Sydney, NS.
Angela is the Director of Strategic Trade Policy with the NS Department of Intergovernmental Affairs. She represented Nova Scotia as Lead Negotiator in the NAFTA/USMCA negotiations. She has over 17 years’ experience within provincial and federal public services, with an emphasis on trade, intergovernmental relations, economic development and public health policy.In 2014, she decided to go ‘all-in’ to pursue a life-long dream of owning a business, and opened TALO Cafébar in her hometown, Glace Bay. Angela’s vision for TALO was born from her conviction that asset-based economic development is crucial for growing local economies.Angela has a Masters of Public Administration, Dalhousie University, Bachelor of Arts, Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Certificate in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Dalhousie University.
Shannon Forrester is a multi-diverse business professional with an extensive leadership background in Human Resources, Marketing, Event and Business Management, and has worked for progressive organizations, government, and private corporations. By day, Shannon is employed as a Federal Public servant, whose private sector leadership experience has enabled her to lead teams through various transitions and managerial restructuring. Shannon is also a multi-passionate entrepreneur and dancer. She is the Owner and Artistic Director of the Forrester Production Group Limited, parent company of The Forrester School of Dance and the newly established Forrester Centre & The Krypt Lounge. The Forrester Centre & The Krypt Lounge is Cape Breton’s newest Arts, Entertainment and Events Centre which specializes in small, intimate and premium experiences for Corporate, Weddings & Lifestyle. A very proud Cape Breton University graduate, Shannon was recently awarded the Rose Schwartz Female Business Leader of the Year from the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
